Will I have to pay customs and VAT?

It depends on where you are based. If you are based in the USA, UK, EU, Canada or Australia, we will pay for both VAT and Customs. We have fulfillment centers in these regions and we are able to make it easier for you to receive the goods by fulfilling locally in these regions.

Sadly, we can not do the same for pledges outside. They will all be shipped from Hong Kong and additional charges do apply depending on your local customs rules and charges.

How long will the non-stick last?

The Ilag Professional coating is probably the longest lasting non-stick coating in the market. However, this does not mean that it is eternal.

Over a longer period, how they are cared for matters too. A non-stick pan must never be overheated. This means that the heat must never exceed 250C or 480F. If this happens the non-stick effect disappears very quickly. This applies to all non-stick coatings.

Assuming that you do not overheat the pan during its lifetime, it is reasonable to assume that it should last over 3 years with normal use.

Is there any impact by Brexit?

No. We have backers from all of the world and we fulfill too all jurisdictions.

Brexit limits our ability to fulfill orders from our UK fulfillment center to the EU without additional VAT and customs, unless there is a future free-trade deal.

However, we will fulfill all EU backers from a new fulfillment center in Germany. This ensures smooth delivery and no additional costs for you as a backer.

Will there be a lid?

Yes, we have a design ready that will be available as an add-on at the end of the campaign. The add-ons are delivered with your main reward in November 2019.

Last updated: April 02, 2019 10:38

When do I pay for my reward?

In a Kickstarter campaign the payment is made by Kickstarter in the first week after the end of the campaign. If not successful, Kickstarter will try to charge your card multiple times for 14 days.

After 14 days Kickstarter will release the funds to Edge of Belgravia. We will use them to place an order with the factory.

You will also receive a link from Backerkit where you check out on your campaign. This means that you pledge on Kickstarter is moved to Backerkit or Crowdox. This enables you to add any add-ons such as lids, or spatulas.

Your payment of the add-ons will go to Edge of Belgravia directly via a payment gatway, Stripe, set up on the platform. This happens when you check out. By checking out you will also provide Edge of Belgravia with your final shipping address. We will ask you to confirm this just before shipping.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
